Alicia's first challenge was to clean out the minivan. It needed to be completed within a week and it was the last day before the week was out.
Jason helped me pull out the vacuum cleaner and attachments and I armed myself with wet wipes, Armoral, window cleaner, trash bags, and determination.
I must say, the back row was the worst! I cleaned an entire cupful of smashed animal crackers and wiped sludge out from in the seat belt buckles. (The silly putty wouldn't come off completely, even with ice, but I made a valiant effort) I vacuumed up food, dirt, hay, sawdust and shampooed the carpet in the trunk where a case of diet coke exploded this winter.
The only disappointing thing is that it has been a week now, and it already has a new chocolate milk stain on the floor in the back!

How to Add Your Name to the "Waiting for Challenge" List
I sent everyone an email message giving you administator priveleges for the blog so you can edit all the content and lists. You may need to have a gmail account in order to use this feature, so if you don't already have a gmail account, here's another reason why you should!
One you've accepted the administrator account, just be sure you're logged in while you're viewing this blog. You will see little tool icons underneath each feature of the blog. Clicking on the tool icon allows you to edit that feature.
So, to add or remove your name on the waiting list, click the tool icon below the list of names waiting for challenges. A popup window will appear titled "Configure List". Go to the line that says "add list item" and type your name in the white box then click the button "add item". Then click the orange "save" button in the upper right corner. You should see your name uploaded on the main page of the blog.
Please feel free to truly make this a participatory blog! Play around with the design, layout, quizzes, photos, etc. It's for all of us to enjoy!
If you need a little extra tutorial on the blog features, ask someone younger than me!

Add my name to the waiting list
I don't know how to access the settings to add my name to the waiting list. I'd love a challenge and I love all the challenges I heard about...go Ramptons!!
BTW, I was at Lindsey's for the cat party and I consider it challenge completed! She really did try and we all sang for heaven's sake.

Challenge Met! Kind Of.
Lindsey's Challenge: To throw a birthday party for my cat in hopes that I will start to be more kind and loving to animals.

My Status: Mission accomplished, sort of. I invited the extended Rampton family up for a Sunday dinner/ cat birthday party complete with fish bone cupcakes. The only snafu was when we went to have the party the cat was nowhere to be found. We still sung to the cat and also had the kids blow out the cat's candle. Since I went to the effort of making cat themed cupcakes I think the challenge was completed.
The Results: I have been a little nicer to the cat. The other day when the cat came into the house I kindly set it outside instead of throwing it out the door like I would normally do.
Suggestions for my next Challenge: I often feel guilty about not spending more quality one-on-one time with each of my kids, maybe something along those lines.
Challenge Met!
My Challenge: Invite a "couple friend" to do something with me and Nathan
Status: Accomplished! Nathan and I have been very busy hanging with couples friends. I invited two different work colleagues and their boyfriends to get dinner on different nights (accepted). Nathan invited two other couples for dinner (accepted).
Results: We hope that some of these people will want to hang out with us again!
Suggestions for next challenge: I need help getting healthy.
