Lindsey's Challenge: To throw a birthday party for my cat in hopes that I will start to be more kind and loving to animals.
My Status: Mission accomplished, sort of. I invited the extended Rampton family up for a Sunday dinner/ cat birthday party complete with fish bone cupcakes. The only snafu was when we went to have the party the cat was nowhere to be found. We still sung to the cat and also had the kids blow out the cat's candle. Since I went to the effort of making cat themed cupcakes I think the challenge was completed.
The Results: I have been a little nicer to the cat. The other day when the cat came into the house I kindly set it outside instead of throwing it out the door like I would normally do.
Suggestions for my next Challenge: I often feel guilty about not spending more quality one-on-one time with each of my kids, maybe something along those lines.
Nice work, Lindsey! My only concern is that although the fish bone cupcakes are adorable, it's probably not the best idea to feed chocolate to a cat. But if you were to give the cat a can of tuna fish in lieu of a cupcake, I think I'd be fully satisfied that you celebrated that animal. In fact, you may be elected president of the Heber City PETA chapter.
